How long does treatment take?
This depends on the position of your teeth and jaws, development and the treatment goal. At your first visit, we’ll give you an initial overview. After the diagnostic assessment, we’ll discuss your individual timeline, including how to maintain your results.
What will treatment cost?
Before treatment begins, we’ll explain your personal treatment plan, the expected costs and any statutory health insurance coverage. Optional services and upgrades are explained separately and agreed in advance. Your insurance cover and individual clinical findings are key factors.
Specialist qualification or master’s degree – what’s the difference?
In Germany, the title Fachzahnarzt für Kieferorthopädie requires formal specialist training and recognition by the responsible dental chamber. Training includes three years in the specialty and one year in general dentistry. A master’s degree is an academic qualification and does not, by itself, confer recognition as a specialist orthodontist.
What are the benefits of additional services?
Depending on the procedure, additional services may support comfort, appearance or treatment. We’ll explain which options may benefit you in light of your clinical findings, including their costs and alternatives. For patients with German statutory health insurance, basic treatment is covered when eligibility criteria are met, while optional additional services involve extra costs.
Can I come for a second opinion?
Yes. If you’re unsure whether treatment is necessary or which approach suits you, we’ll take time for your questions. Feel free to bring any existing records and treatment plans. Choose the appropriate age group in the booking calendar or call us.
